Thus far, two congressional efforts related to economic relief from the effects of COVID-19 have been signed into law: The Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020 signed into law on March 6, 2020, and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act which was signed into law on March 19, 2020. Currently, The United States Senate is working on the third bill, known as the CARES Act. Additional bills will almost certainly be required.

Insist that any future legislation contains provisions which covers freelance interpreters and translators, as well as other self-employed professionals.
