Complimentary Infection Control Training for Interpreters

In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, I wanted to share a complimentary Infection Control training developed specifically for interpreters. This FREE Infection Control and Industrial Safety for Medical Interpreters course provided by MasterWord and developed by Linda Golley, seeks to help interpreters become fully competent and SAFE members of the healthcare team.

Interpreters will learn:

How to avoid bringing germs TO patients in the health care setting
How to avoid bringing germs FROM the health setting into your family and community
How to avoid being a vector BETWEEN patients
How to avoid getting sick yourself
How to practice hand hygiene effectively and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and
How to avoid getting hurt, abused, irradiated, and depressed

Presenter’s Bio

Linda Golley trains medical interpreters and medical interpreter trainers throughout the country. She is an experienced language access program manager as well as an ADA specialist. She currently serves as vice-chair for the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters.

This training has been approved for 1.25 hours for CCHI, .125 BEI CEUs, and Pre-Approved as PINRA for .125 CEUs, and 1.25 Washington Interpreter CE DSHS.
